The Hits Keep Coming…

Tuesday, December 2nd, 2008

In advance of the holiday shopping season, we’re excited to introduce two new t-shirts to the FIC roster!

First up, we have “Life Sucks and Then You Die.” This tee was modeled, quite fashionably by Stiles in Teen Wolf, a film that I would argue has not received its critical due. Loyal readers of this blog might also remember that I borrowed one of Stiles’ other outfits for Halloween — and subsequently encountered, completely by chance, someone else dressed as Teen Wolf.

Our second new top comes from yet another classic 80’s flick, Revenge of the Nerds. “Greasy Tony’s,” worn by the unforgettable Booger, features a double-sided design and is printed on an American-Apparel raglan jersey. Just looking at it makes me hungry, and remember there’s no charge for extra grease.

Both of these shirts cost $21.95, plus shipping.

Victor-tees!

Monday, December 1st, 2008

Earlier this month, I told you about a contest that FIC was co-sponsoring along with Color Overload, which incidentally is a highly-trafficked t-blog that has recently unveiled fantastic, animal-themed designs at its webstore.

I’ve just been notified by Andy, the editor of Thunderfrogs, an influential U.K.-based tee shirt blog and the organizer of said competition, that the lucky winners have been determined.

As you’ll learn in his post, two entrants were selected at random. Their prize? The FIC tee of their choice.

Tim G., of San Francisco has chosen the Caduceus tee; meanwhile, Aeric W. of Japan has elected to receive the Mumford top, fine selections both. I commend the victors for their good taste. I’ve embedded pics of both below, so you can see for yourself.

News Flash: We Have a FIC Facebook Page

Sunday, November 30th, 2008

After much debate and heated procrastination, we’ve finally constructed a Facebook page for Founditemclothing.com and our sister sites, Bunnyslippers.com and Usefulthings.com. If you’re a happy customer and want to help spread the word about FIC, show us some love and befriend us.

We’ll bring word of news, new products, office gossip, the occasional product sighting, sales (however rare), and so much more, including exclusive content and contests for FB friends. This page will also provide a forum for loyal fans to submit pictures and videos of themselves rocking FIC gear (and looking good in the process).

Let us know what you think — put your facebook into myspace: travis@founditemclothing.com.

Giving Thanks (For Fresh Shirts)

With this post, I thought I’d spread some Turkey Day cheer. To this end, look at a pair of holi-tees I found over at Spreadshirt.

New Shirts!

Tuesday, November 25th, 2008

Maybe you overlooked the outsized rectangular block embedded on our homepage, but there’s a big development here at FIC — we have 6 new shirts available for purchase!

In a Found Item first, we’ve hooked up with a trio of accomplished apparel designers whose style we dig — Poketo, Option G and No Star Clothing — to bring you some fresh threads as the holiday season nears. Option G and No Star kinda trend towards modern icons and witty pastiches; the Poketo approach employs hand-drawn illustrations and is by nature, a bit cuter and less scripted. There are two sides to every tee, yes?

In September, an exhaustive process of trial and error a field trip to Las Vegas yielded these designs as part of a valiant effort to expand our offerings for loyal customers (that’s you…).

In all seriousness, I urge you to buy these shirts now because they won’t last I will be fired if this experiment in web retailing goes terribly astray.

Obviously, we’re fishing here for some honest feedback here. Do you like these shirts? Will you buy them? If not, why not? Do you come to FIC for movie-centric shirts, or are you open to the possibility that our brand might feature other, non-celluloid-related garments? Are you still reading this? If so, why?

For the record, I’m partial to Loose Lips and Skull Forest (viewed below).
