Hey kidzzzzzz.

We’ve added a gaggle of bitchin’ new designs — 15 in total — to the Found Item catalog. There are some real gems here, from classic flicks like The Big Lebowski, Red Dawn, and Die Hard, to name but three. Peruse the slideshow below… or view ‘em individually right here.

Keeping with the movie motif…

Logjammin: Giving New Meaning to the Term BIG Lebowski

Monday, April 5th, 2010

Another week, another Lebowski-related internet meme… and this one is a real whopper.

Abide, then, by this clever little parody, which in an self-referential art-imitiating-art turn, riffs on both the source material and the faux porno (the aforementioned Logjammin‘) embedded within:

However humorous, one thinks it might benefit from the Dude’s signature tee, which is wanting here (sadly). Next time, fellas…

Fin de siècle, anyone?

Tees & The Reel World: Say Hello to IMDT

Thursday, December 3rd, 2009

Move over Rumplo and make way, Teenormous: there’s a new t-shirt clearinghouse on the web, the aforementioned IMDT, and this one specializes in, ahem, movie-themed designs.

Naturally, this caught our attention here at Found Item, so we gave it a look-see and here is our early assessment…

The name, quite obviously, is a pun on IMDB, a wildly popular compendium of film minutia, both past and present. And while IMDT has a way to go to match the original’s reach, they are off to a solid start. There are hundreds of samples, searchable by movie, tee co., and genre. I expect that the listings will grow substantially in 2010, as more companies come on board and more shirts are included. As it is, we’ve had an early wave of our rockin’ tops added to the mix and more will follow suit shortly.

Movie buffs, I suppose, are the site’s target demographic, but I expect that general tee enthusiasts will find it invaluable too, assuming it gets larger and the listings more extensive. At the very least, I expect to use it when I research lists for this blog.

What do you think?

Everyday Should Be Halloween: Look At This Rad Collection of Costumes

Friday, November 6th, 2009

Well, the Big Day has come and gone. The preparation, the anticipation, the urgency — all of it is so very liberating and intoxicating. Fleeting too. And what fun transpired. I could tell you about said joviality, or better yet, I could show you. Behold, then, this ghoulish breezy, user-submitted gallery of 2009 Halloween costumes, each constructed around one of our fabulous tees. As you’ll see, some of the entrants are particularly spot-on and painstakingly accurate.

Which, on that note, reminds me: if you have pics you’d like to contribute, message me at travis@founditemclothing.com and I’ll post them in this space. (For the record, I’m desperate for a Nigel, Danny Noonan (with hat, natch), and/or Bluto. Just sayin’…) And as if you needed more enticement (wait — internet celebrity is not enough?), all participants will be eligible to win some FIC swag that we will be raffling off at the end of the month. To sum up: we really want your pictures. Shoot them our way, post-haste!
